Being Present in The Moment

Recently I've been asking myself what it means to be present in the moment. At the end of this month, most of my friends will be moving either in or out of states to universities and becoming their own people. The question I keep asking is if I am my own person or not. I tend to distract myself during rough times by surrounding myself with people instead of taking time to sort out what I'm going through. So currently, since I've been working so much and trying to schedule classes out online, I have decided that focusing on myself is a LOT harder than I thought it would be. So if that means focusing more on my body and what goes into it, making an entirely new Pinterest account, and starting this blog- then so be it.

It can be insanely hard to focus on certain things or the way you feel with ADHD, or even in general. Just know that you aren't the only person going through these things and there are so many ways you can ask for help or talk to someone if you need it. Talk to your family and show them that you are trying, even if they don't understand the situation. Take 30 minutes of your day to pray, or write a list of things that you are thankful for, maybe make a to do list of the tiniest little things so that you can check them all off that day for just a feeling that you're getting things done. Be present with yourself and focus on your breathing. You have purpose, you just haven't found it yet.
